Arlys Hackbart, 88 of Rochester died peacefully Sunday, Augst 21, 2016 at
Arbor Gardens of Eyota.
She was born October 19, 1927 in Eyota Township to Frank and Katie
(Buchan) Urban. Arlys graduated from Eyota High School in 1945 then
attended Winona Business College and graduated in 1947. On June 20,
1948 she married Cleo Hackbart at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in
Eyota.
Aryls worked for McConnon and Company in Winona until 1952 then they
moved to Rochester. She then worked for Mayo Clinic for 37 years and
retired in 1989.
Arlys was a member or Redeemer Lutheran Church of Rochester and
enjoyed golfing, bowling and flowers.
Aryls is survived by two brothers, Lowell (Annette) Urban and Franklin
(Beverly) Urban both of Eyota and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cleo and one
brother Donald Buchan.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at
Schad & Zabel Funeral Home, Eyota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the
service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in
Dover.
