Bernice Froemming

Bernice B. Froemming, 92, of Plainview, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Green Prairie Care Center, Plainview, MN.  Bernice was born on May 1, 1929, to Fred and Ida (Kalpin) Hertwig at home on the family farm in Miltona, Minnesota.   Bernice attended the Country School, District #59 through the eighth grade.  On August 7th, 1949, she married Dale O. Froemming in Montana.  Together they raised three daughters: Barb (Barry Wentworth) Froemming, Debra (Boris Naschansky) Froemming, and Karen (Don) Copeland. She is survived by her three daughters; five grandchildren Nick, Greg, Alicia, Valerie and Richard; two great granddaughters, Nora and Greta; two sisters, Florence (Kermit) Froemming and Ina (Chuck) Joachim; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband (Dale); her parents; three sisters and their husbands, Doris (Bob) Barten, Luetta (Neil) Thompson and Marie (Gordon) Smith; two brothers Fredrich (Nancy) Hertwig and Marvin Hertwig; brother-in-law, Kermit Froemming; sons-in-law, Boris Naschansky and Don Copeland; and nephews Bruce Nye and Steven Nye.

Bernice enjoyed fishing in northern MN, knitting and crocheting special gifts for family and friends, playing cards and feeding and watching wild song birds.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Plainview, MN, with Pastor Krista Henning-Ferkin presiding. Visitation is Thursday, 10 a.m. till time of the service at the church.  The service will also be provided on the church’s Facebook page. Interment will be held at the Chisholm Cemetery, Chisholm, MN, at 1 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021.
