Bruce Roy Crary

Bruce Roy Crary, 57, of Brooklyn Center, MN and formerly of Plainview, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus-Rochester after a stroke and related complications. Bruce was born in Rochester on December 8, 1959 to Arnold and Eleanor (Mensink) Crary. He graduated from Faribault School for the deaf in 1979 and then attended Vocational School to be a machinist. He worked for RMS in Coon Rapids, MN for 33 years. Bruce married Kathryn Haeg and later divorced. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, camping with friends, bowling, and was an avid Vikings and Twins fan. He is survived by his father, Arnold (Bud) Crary of Plainview, brothers, Dennis (Karen) Crary of Plainview, Kevin Crary of Elgin and Kent (Verna) Crary of Plainview; along with many nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Harley. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor. Funeral service is Saturday, February 4, 3:00 p.m. at Peace United Methodist Church, rural Elgin with Rev. Cooper Wiggens officiating. Burial is at the Pleasnat Valley Cemetery, Olmsted County. Visitation will be Friday, 5-7 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
