Courtney Lynn Sexton

Courtney Lynn Sexton, 27, formerly of Kellogg, MN passed away at her home in Dodge Center, MN on 01/12/022 after a battle with breast cancer.

Courtney was born on May 6th, 1994, in Wabasha, MN. She is the daughter of Mark and Jodi Hauer (Miller) and her biological father James Sexton. Courtney grew up in the Kellogg area most of her life. She attended Wabasha Kellogg school. She spent about the last 10 years of her life in the West Concord, MN area.

Courtney loved spending time with her family, being outdoors, rocking in her chair and watching Barney the dinosaur. She had a contagious giggle and a smile that would melt your heart. Her beautiful soul, unconditional love and great big hugs will be missed by many.

Courtney is preceded in death by her grandparents: Richard Miller; Lawrence and Dorothy Sexton.

Courtney is survived her parents Mark and Jodi Hauer of Dodge Center, MN, biological father, James Sexton, Eau Claire, WI; Grandmother Kay Miller of Kellogg, MN; Siblings; Kyle Sexton (Sierra Cook) of Wabasha, MN; Kelsey (Matt) Schnell of Plainview MN; Jacob (Amanda) Hauer of Springville, AL; Joseph Sexton, Millville Mn; and Jessica Welti, Plainview, Mn, nephews Jaxtyn Schnell, Bryant Graham and nieces Neveah Graham and Ainsley Hauer and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers are Kyle Sexton, Sierra Cook, Kelsey & Matt Schnell, Jacob & Amanda Hauer, Joseph Sexton, Jessica Welti

Funeral mass will be Saturday, January 22, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kellogg with Father Donald Schmitz officiating. Burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery in rural Kellogg. Visitation is Friday, January 21, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview and one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday.
