David Aaron Timm

May 21, 1931 — Jul 25, 2026

David Timm age 95, passed away July 25, 2026, at his daughter's home in Kellogg, MN surrounded by his loving family. David was born to Aaron and Vera (Brueske) Timm on May 21, 1931, at RR1 Box 88, Minneiska, MN, along with his twin sister Dorla. David was baptized through his holy baptism on May 31, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Plainview, MN. David's Godparents were Albert and Linda Libinsky. David made public confirmation of his faith on March 25, 1945, through Immanuel Lutheran Church, Plainview, MN. David attended Grub School and Plainview High School. David started his lifelong passion of farming alongside his father in 1947.

Then Uncle Sam called David, completing his basic training at Camp Roberts in San Miguel, CA. He then entered the 18th Infantry in Germany in January 1953. He returned home unscathed and married his one and only love, Margaret Mabel Prigge, on June 5, 1955, and started their family of 8 kids plus one. Along with farming and raising a family of kids, David worked for Mallard Seed Company of Plainview as head foreman/combiner from 1978 through 1986. David was a very strong faith-rooted Lutheran. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and served on many boards including elders, Trustees, and the school board for 40 + years. David's hobbies were few, but he was always there to lend a helping hand. Neighbors helping neighbors with their needs, getting crops in, building or repairing buildings, and butchering, with the Ellinghuysens, Wurls, Bennetts, Radel, and Dittrichs. He was a very strong and loving neighbor. His best "hobby" was at the end of the day, visiting with family and friends, especially visiting his sisters in Colorado.

David is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, son Gerald, brothers Donavan and Paul, and sister Martha Ann. Sister-in-laws Darelene and Patti Timm, and Gladys Ellinghuysen. Brothers-in-law Bill Prigge, John Prigge, Marvin Ellinghuysen, and Gerald Dittirch.
