Donald Edward Lyons, 65, died of natural causes at his home in rural Faribault, MN, July 15, 2020. Don was born August 25, 1954 in Wabasha to Lawrence and Vera (Appel) Lyons. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1972. Don lived in rural Faribault and worked as a union cement finisher for many years throughout SE Minnesota. He retired in 2016. Don enjoyed playing softball and played in several different slow pitch leagues. He also enjoyed shooting pool. He is survived by his siblings; Bob (Jean) Lyons of Plainview, Ken Lyons of Lake City, Jan (Lyle) Peters of Lake City and Barb Dickerman of Lino Lakes, MN and many nephews and nieces and special friend, Shelly Carlson. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Karen and her husband Darrell Riess and 1 nephew Brenden Lyons. A visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview. Their will be a time of prayer at 3:00 p.m. Burial at a later date will be at St. Joachim’s Catholic Cemetery in Plainview.
