Donna Jean Brandt

Donna Jean Brandt, 74, of Eyota, died Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester following a brief illness.

Donna was born September 14, 1949, in Rochester to Alfred and Mavis (Moyer) Kettner. She graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in 1967. She worked part-time at Urban’s Market in Eyota and then was employed at the Mayo Clinic, Methodist Hospital as a Unit Assistant until her retirement in 2010. On June 26, 1971, she married Daniel Brandt, and he survives.

She loved the farm life and her kittens. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading mystery and recipe books and cooking and baking.

Donna is survived by her husband Dan of Eyota; one sister Susan Brandt of Theilman, mother-in-law June Brandt, brother-in-law James (Christy) Brandt of Pine Island and sister-in-law Debra (Daryl) Hahn of Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Gary and one sister Darlene and her father-in-law Albert Brandt.

Funeral services are Monday, July 22nd, 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Eyota with Pastor Jonathan Vollrath officiating. The burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Eyota. The visitation is Sunday, 3-6 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
