Doris L. Binner, 88, of Plainview, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. Doris was born July 15, 1928 in LaCrosse, WI, to Walter and Ruth (Kloak) Briese. She attended elementary school in Gays Mills, WI. The family moved to Plainview in 1941 and Doris graduated from Plainview High School in 1946. On May 21, 1947, she married Eugene Binner at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview, and they made their home in Plainview. Eugene died August 1, 2011. Doris was a homemaker and did bookkeeping for several local businesses. She was a member of St. Joachim’s Catholic Church and helped on the funeral committee for many years. She was also a member of the Plainview Senior Citizens and the family group at Green Prairie Place. Doris enjoyed baking, playing cards, sewing, quilting, reading and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include her children; Nancy (Jerry) Kraus of Spring Grove, MN, Larry (Sue) Binner of Spooner, WI, and Pat Gulden of Lino Lakes, MN; five grandsons; Mike (LeAnn), Adam (Jessica), Aaron (Dawn) Kraus, John Binner, Chris Gulden, three grand daughters, Teresa (Mike) Foster, Belinda (Bill) Gilsdorf, and Erin Gulden (Reece Johnson), fifteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and son-in-law, Denny Gulden. Funeral mass will be Saturday, December 3, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Burial is at the St. Joachim’s Catholic Cemetery.
