Doris Klavetter, 93, died Tuesday, July 28, at St. Isidore Health Center of
Greenwood Prairie in Plainview.
Doris was born January 28, 1922 in Austin, MN, to Edward and Catherine Hall.
At the age of 5, Doris was raised by her foster parents, Myron and Anna Fisk
of Wabasha. On October 2, 1940, she married Meade Klavetter and they
made Plainview there home. Doris worked at Lakeside Packing, Fink’s
Restaurant and Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Joachim’s
Catholic Church in Plainview and the Catholic Daughters.
Doris enjoyed music, dancing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her
family.
Survivors included her children; Marie (Harold) Miller of Scotia, NY., Catherine
Klingerman of Stewartville, Robert (Julie) Klavetter of Theilman, Nancy (Scott)
Otey of Centennial, CO., Patricia (Mike) Burgdorf of Plainview, Joseph
(Rhonda) Klavetter of Rochester; grandchildren, Stephanie (Derek Holper)
Burgdorf, Brent Burgdorf, Edward and Robert Miller, Hope Ann Mocon, Ann
Hjellming, Frederick and Marc Klingerman, Bryan and Heather Klavetter, and
Mead (Sejah) Klavetter; great-grandchildren, Madden Holper, Ashley
Reicherts, Evan and Emma Miller, Connor and Chad Hjellming, Cheyenne,
Dakota , Kayden, Brooke and Stella Klingerman and Bridger Klavetter; foster
brothers and sisters, Greta Nihart, Raymond Fisk and David (Marta) Fisk all of
Wabasha.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Meade, 1 grandson, Owen
Klavetter, 1 great-granddaughter, Taylor Morgan Wasnalas, 1 son-in-law,
Frederick Klingerman and 3 sisters, Betty, Wanita and Gertrude.
Funeral Mass is Saturday, August 1, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim’s
Catholic Church in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Burial is at
the St. Joachim’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, 1 hour prior to the
service at the church.
