The funeral mass for Dorothy Pearl Mullenbach will be at 11 a.m. on Friday,
December 29, 2017 at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview, Minnesota
with Father William Becker officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8
p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Burial will be at the St. Joachim's Catholic Cemetery in Plainview.
Mrs. Mullenbach, age 94, of Rochester, formerly of Plainview, died December
24, 2017 at Willows & Waters Senior Living in Rochester.
She was born June 10, 1923, in Austin, MN to Henry and Esther (Hansen)
Schroeder. On September 28, 1943, she married Edmond Mullebach of
Adams, MN.
She and Ed farmed in Rose Creek, Stewartville, Rollingstone, and Plainview,
Minnesota. She then worked at Rochester State Hospital and retired from the
Mayo Clinic. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting baby hats and booties,
among other things. She and Ed enjoyed dancing waltzes and polkas at the
Terp and Pla Mor ballrooms, along with many wedding dances. She also grew
many African Violets in her home and sold many to florist shops in
Southeastern Minnesota. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St.
Joachim Catholic Church and the Plainview American Legion Auxiliary.
Dorothy is survived by her children: son, David (Mary) of Rochester;
daughters, Carol (Bill) Carter of Kasson, Sharon (Ross) Parker of Oronoco,
Shirley (Wyman) Clark of Howe, IN, Janice (Doug) Moen of Caledonia, and Judy
(Paul) Kottschade of Plainview. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 33
great- grandchildren and 1 great- great-grandson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents; her sister, Irene
Tapp and brother-in-law, LloydTapp and son-in-law, Doug Moen.
