Elizabeth (Betty) Pieper

Elizabeth (Betty) Pieper (Milene) was born on December 28, 1949, in Rochester, MN. She was the daughter of Marlo and Mary Jo Milene and grew up on the family farm outside of Eyota, MN. She graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in 1967.

Elizabeth (Betty) Pieper passed away with her daughters by her side on Thursday March 20,2025, at the age of 75 years.

She married Donald Pieper Oct 5, 1968, and had 7 children. They moved to Brackett, WI. She was a cook at Wagners Bowling Alley in Eau Claire and a bartender at Bracket Bar.

They later divorced.

In June 1987, she moved back to her hometown of Eyota. She worked at Dison Dry Cleaning, she was the lunch lady at the Dover-Eyota School, a cook at the Eyota Cafe, worked in the deli at the Eyota Market, cleaned Eyota Kids Corner and the  Greendoor.

A friend too many, she enjoyed baking many cookies and banana bread and sharing them with her friends. She enjoyed playing Bingo, stopping by to visit, going out to eat and garage sales.

She will be missed and leaves behind Marcy Storm of St Charles, MN, Missy (Tim) Welsh of Eyota, MN, Joe Pieper of Brackett, WI, Kelly (Don) Schaefer of Eyota, MN, Sara (Jason) Kieffer of Eyota, MN, Derek (Heather)Pieper of Bracket, WI. 21 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents Marlo and Mary Jo Milene, brother Michael Milene, son Chad Pieper and a great grandson.

Funeral mass will be Wednesday, March 26, 2025, 11: 00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Eyota with Father Jonathan Fasnacht officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota is assisting the family with the arrangements.
