Elsie Delores Wendt

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elsie Delores Wendt, who left this world on February 6, 2026, at the age of 93.

Elsie was born on December 2, 1932, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Arthur and Emma (Serafin) Wendt. She grew up and lived on the family farm in the Lake Elmo area. Her professional career began when she moved to Rochester, Minnesota, to be a nanny for a local family, caring for their children and their children's children across four generations. Elsie later retired to care for her mother. Elsie enjoyed family gatherings as well as being deeply involved with her church, Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eyota, Minnesota. Elsie enjoyed family gatherings, nature, animals, and especially flowers.

For the last five years, Elsie resided at the Chosen Valley Care Center, where she continued to touch lives with her friendship to others, warmth and grace. Elsie lived a rich and fulfilling life, deeply rooted in family, faith, and community.

Elsie is survived by her siblings, Mary Lou Isreal, Dorothy Ramirez, Gretchen (Jerry) Daniel and Gery Wendt and sister-in-law, Agnus Wendt, as well as many other nieces and nephews; and especially her extended family, Brooks (Terri) Edwards and Ellen (John) Villa.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arnold Wendt, Willard Wendt and Arthur Wendt Jr.; and sister, Rosemary Mack.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church (770 Robert Ave SW, Eyota, MN 55934). Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gift of Life Transplant House.
