Gladys L. Larson, 95, of Plainview passed away August 22, 2018 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. Gladys was born on May 31, 1923 to John and Mary (Jensen) Peters in Rochester, MN. She attended school in Rochester. On November 21, 1940 she married Earl A. Larson. They were blessed with 5 children. They farmed near Rock Dell and in 1948 they moved to a farm on top of the Elba hill, and retired from farming moving to Plainview. They spent many winters in Florida. Her husband passed away in 2006. Gladys enjoyed playing cards. Gladys is survived by 2 sons of Plainview; Leo (Barb), and Ed (Chris Horsman), 2 daughters, Ruth (Marlyn) Moechnig of Frontenac, and Joan (Jim) Pyfferoen of Altura; 1 sister Betty Pyfferoen of Rochester; 7 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son Mark, her parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Funeral service is Monday, August 27, 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview with Pastor Phil Augustine officiating. Burial is at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview. Visitation is Sunday, August 26, 3-5 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
