Henry Paul peacefully went home to his Lord and Savior June 11, 2015 at the age of 84, surrounded by loving family at his residence in Rochester. Henry was born September 16, 1930 in Berzischken, Lithuania. In 1950 he immigrated to Chicago, IL. On January 9, 1960, he married his beloved Christel Emma Matzick in Suffeld, West Germany. In 1975 the family moved to Eyota. Henry retired from the US Postal Service in 1990, and spent his time serving his Lord, and community, gardening and watching nature. Not a day passed without him saying “Each day is a gift” and “God Bless You”. He is survived by loving wife Christel of Rochester; daughters, Karen (Frank) Lorenzen of Fresno, CA, Monika (Dan) Madden of Mantorville; grandchildren, David (Kacey) Lorenzen, Emily, Lindsey, Audrey and Hannah; great- grandchildren, Zeek and Mya. Henry was a kind and compassionate man who touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Funeral Service is Monday, June 15, 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Eyota with Rev. Jonathan Vollrath officiating. Burial is at Oak Grove Cemetery, Eyota. The visitation is Monday, 9 a.m. till the time of the service at the church.
