Irma Idel Curran was born November 3, 1921 in Weston, Wisconsin to
Leonard and Grace (Washburn) Kingsley. Irma graduated from
Menomonie High School. After attending business school, she worked
with the Eau Claire Superintendent of Schools.
On January 30, 1954 she married Donald Curran in Menomonie. In
1961 they moved to Plainview. Irma was a loving mother and wife. She
was an active member of the Plainview United Methodist Church and
the United Methodist Women’s Association. Irma enjoyed volunteering
at the Plainview Nursing Home, singing and dancing. Her husband
Donald died in 1980.
She is survived by her son Geoffry (JaNean) of Rochester and West
Newton; two grandchildren, Breanna and Brian Ties, both of Plainview,
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; daughter
Patricia, two brothers and four sisters.
Memorial Service is Saturday, November 15, 11 a.m. at Peace United
Methodist Church between Plainview and Elgin, with Rev. Cooper
Wiggen officiating. Burial is at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview.
Visitation is Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
