James Robert Hart, 66, of Dover, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester, St. Mary’s Campus. Jim was born October 14, 1948 in Winona to Robert and Violet (Conway) Hart. He was raised on the family farm north of Dover and graduated from Dover- Eyota High School in 1966. On December 13, 1969 he married Angela Jasper in Rochester. Together they raised their family and farmed north of Dover. Jim was  president of the Evergreen Cemetery and also president of the Dairyland Beef Association. He was a member of the Minnesota Draft Horse Association. He loved his horses and had shown them at many parades and many county and state fairs throughout Minnesota. Jim enjoyed his morning coffee conversations, and rarely missed a day at the Country Café in Eyota. He is survived by his wife, Angela of Dover; children; Robert (Shelly) Hart of Galesville, WI, Kim (Chris) Bailey of Rochester, Geoff (Jody) Hart of Dover, Jeremy (Toni) Hart of Eyota, Tammy (Brent) Diedrich of Millville; 8 grandchildren, Brayden, Makenna, and Kaydance Hart, Clare, Dayne and Emily Bailey, Landon and Dylan Hart; sisters, Shirley (Don) Karau of Wabasha, Margaret Dankers of Goodhue, Marion (Paul) Evenson of St. Charles, Delores Hart of Rochester, Vivian (Dave) Barrone of St. Charles and Kay Tvedt of Stewartville. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Funeral service is Thursday, February 12, 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota with Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Burial is at the Evergreen Cemetery, Dover. Visitation is Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
