Jerome Clemens

Jerome Michael Clemens, 69, of Eyota, MN, died Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 69. Jerome was born on September 7, 1956, and proudly graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in 1974. Following his graduation he started farming alongside his father. 

On March 3, 1984, Jerome married Antoinette Scharf, in Rochester, MN, and together, they built a life in Eyota. Jerome's warmth and kindness made him someone who could have a conversion with anyone, friend or stranger.

Jerome had a deep love for life's simple joys. An avid reader, he found comfort and inspiration in the pages of a good book. His favorites were science fiction, Star Wars, and Star Trek. His passion for collecting, whether it was comic books, trading cards, or cherished keepsakes, also brought him joy. A devoted sports fan, Jerome followed his favorite teams faithfully. Even when life pulled him away from a game, he made sure to catch up on the score as soon as he could. What mattered most to him was time with those he loved. He found deep happiness in the company of family and friends, especially in the laughter of his grandchildren, with whom he shared cherished stories and a knack for telling just the right joke.

Jerome is survived by his beloved wife, Antoinette Clemens; his son, William Clemens; his daughter, Sandy (Josh) Bothun; and his three grandchildren, Caleb, Caden, and Caysen; siblings: Teresa (Russ) VanDuine, Rose (Scott) Elliott, Richard (Carolyn) Clemens, and Tom Clemens. He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Jeremy and Jessica. 

A visitation will take place at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (18 W 2nd St, Eyota, MN 55934) on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM as well as an hour prior to the service at the church. A mass of Christian burial honoring Jerome's life will follow on October 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery.
