daughter of Jerome and Bernice (White) Majerus. Joan married Martin Lee on February 20th, 1950 in Elba, MN. The young couple started their life together living near Altura and in 1959 they moved to Albert Lea, MN. They resided in Albert Lea until 1969 when they moved back to the Whitewater area in Elba. Joan was a homemaker and later worked for Home Produce of St. Charles and then Camera Art of Lewiston. Joan had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also very fond her pets throughout her life. Joan was a past member of the Albert Lea Eagles Club and also of the Elba Homemakers Club. Joan is survived by her children: Martin (Marcia) Lee of St. Louis Park, Terry (Shirley) Lee of Oronoco, Rick (Denise) Lee of Sioux Falls, SD, David (Karen Bendickson) Lee of Rochester, Diane (Mark) Gleason of Balsam Lake, WI, Patty (Dave) Brackett of Bostic, NC, Sharon Lee of Elba and Deborah (John) Feils of Plainview; 15 Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren; Sister, Dorothy (Dick) Ryan of Rocklin, CA. Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Martin Lee; siblings, Jeanette Hillyer, Jerry Majerus and Christine Cruz. Visitation gathering will be held on Saturday, April 12 from 9-11 a.m. at the Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview with a short service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
