John Kronebusch, 84, of Plainview passed away Sunday, Nov. 1 0 th (during the Vikings game), at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. John was born July 25, 1935 in Plainview Township to Sylvester and Margaret (Appel) Kronebusch. He graduated from Plainview High school in 1953. John married Eileen Warthesen, also of Plainview on June 28th, 1969. They were married for 38 years before Eileen passed on January 19th, 2008. John was self-employed for many years. He sold and serviced T.V antenna’s, Scorpion snowmobiles, DeLaval milking equipement and was a longtime painter. He loved spending time with family, camping, woodworking, golfing, Plainview sports, playing cards, and cheering on the Vikings and Twins. John and Eileen were both members of the St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview. John is survived by his daughter, Ann Calhoun of Burbank, CA, and his son, Michael (Jeanne) Kronebusch and grandchildren Elisabeth (15), Andrew (17), Jason (19), Jonathan (21), and Matthew (23), of Waukesha, WI. He is also survived by sisters and brothers Bernadine (Frank) Ellinghuysen, Maxine (Cy) Nelson, Bernard Kronebusch, LaVerne “Butch” (Ginny) Kronebusch, and sister- in-law Carol Kronebusch. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister Ruth Ann. John’s family would like to thank his neighbors and members of the community along with the staff at Green Prairie and Seasons Hospice for all of their help and support. Funeral Mass is Thursday, November 14, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Plainview with Father Don Schmitz officiating. Burial is at St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
