Judith Ann Ball, 72, of Elba passed away peacefully with family by her bedside at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. She was born February 16, 1947 to Robert and Arlene (Polikowsky) Wehrs in Wabasha, MN. Judy graduated from Elgin-Millville High School. She had several jobs before retiring from a Rochester nursing home. Judy married Donald Ball on March 17, 1999. She married into a huge family. They lived in Elba and enjoyed their campground, rides around town on the gator, watching the wildlife and spending time with family and friends. Donny died July 12, 2014. Judy is survived by her father Robert Wehrs of Rochester; sisters, Jerilyn Ramsey of Claremore, OK., Janet (Charles) Zarling of Rochester, Cynthia (Robert) Burmeister of Tulsa, OK., and Charlene Smith of Palmer, TX.; Five nieces and nephews, Christina (Jeremy) Bump of Claremore, OK., Timothy (Nesha) Ramsey of Bartlesville, OK., Sam (Cindy) Ramsey of Claremore, OK., Michael Zarling (Ariana Hoyer) of Apple Valley, MN., and Joshua Smith of Commerce, TX.; seven great nieces and nephews, Grace, Joshua, and Hope Bump of Claremore, OK., Andrew and Aubrey of Bartlesville, OK., Chloe and Ella Ramsey of Claremore, OK.; six step-children, Steve (Linda) Ball of Elba, Sheri (Mark) Jensen of Theilman, Shawn Ball of Elba, Sheila (Chris) Pappas of Rochester, Scott Ball of Rochester and Shelly (Mike) Smith of Aberdeen, MD.; 20 step-grandchildren and 34 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, and two brothers, Michael and Roger Wehrs. Funeral service is Monday, April 1, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin with Rev. Terrill Bramstedt officiating. Burial is at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Visitation is Sunday, 3-6 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
