A Celebration of Life for Judith Ann Pretzer will be Saturday, June 11, 2016,
11:00 a.m.,
at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview with Rev. Phil Augustine officiating.
Judith Ann Pretzer, 76, of Plainview, died May 12, 2016 at St. Isidore Health
Center of Greenwood Prairie in Plainview. Judy was born August 7, 1939 in
Winona, MN, to Sidney and Esther (Brueske) Stolz. She graduated from
Plainview High School in 1957 and then attended the Rochester Methodist
Kahler School of Nursing and received her Registered Nursing degree. On
June 10, 1961, she married Wayne Pretzer at Immanuel Lutheran Church in
Plainview and they lived in Plainview. Wayne died July 3, 2014. Over the
years she had worked at both the Methodist Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital
in Rochester. Judy enjoyed fishing and collecting antique’s and dolls.
Judy is survived by three sons, Peter (Marion Page) Pretzer of Oak Park, IL,
Matthew (Michele) Pretzer of Rochester and Aaron (Renee) Pretzer of
Plainview; grandchildren, Mason, Madelyn, Molly and Wyatt; one sister, Joan
Mussell of Plainview; one brother, Allyn (Freida) Stoltz of Plainview and sister-
in-law, Ellen Stoltz of Plainview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; one grandchild, Marin;
three brothers, Ralph, Richard and Warren Stoltz.
The visitation will be Friday, June 10, 5-7 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral
Home in Plainview and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
