June Brandt

June Elnora Brandt, 94, died Monday, April 14, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Lake City Care Center, Lake City, MN.

June was born June 1, 1930, in Rochester, MN to Maurice and Bernice (Chapman) Sorensen. She graduated from Rochester High School.

On March 21, 1949, she married Albert “Bud” Brandt in Rochester. They farmed in the High Forest area near Stewartville until 1966. They then farmed near Eyota.

June worked as a Nursing Assistant at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. She then worked at several landscape nurseries and then started her own custodial business. She enjoyed gardening, baking and collecting cookbooks.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Debbie Hahn of Stockton, MO, 2 sons, Daniel Brandt of Eyota and James (Christy) Brandt of Pine Island, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter, 1 son, 1 sister, 5 brothers, 2 daughter-in-laws and 1 son -in-law.

Funeral service is Monday, April 21, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Eyota with Pastor William Keller officiating. The burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Eyota. The visitation is Monday, 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
