The funeral service for June M. Dean will be Friday, January 27, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester with Rev. Adam Koglin officiating. Burial is at Dale Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, rural Zumbro Falls. June Dean, age 71, died January 16, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. June was born January 15, 1946 in Quincy Township, Olmsted County, to Albert and Beulah (Barnes) Staege. She attended Little Valley Country School for two years and graduated from Plainview High School in 1963. June then graduated from the Mankato Business School. She married Lyle Dean, May 12, 1973 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview and they made their home in rural Chatfield. She was employed for 37 years at IBM-Think Credit Union in Rochester, retiring in 2006. She was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester where she was active in various organizations. June enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, baking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Lyle of Chatfield; daughter, Jennifer Dean of St. Paul; brother, Gordon (Marlis) Staege of Eagan; sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Fletcher of Albert Lea and Barb Duenes of Austin, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Donald and a ½ sister, Elaine Watson. Visitation is Thursday, 4-7 pm at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
