June Margaret Holzer, age 99, died March 11, 2019 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. June was born June 14, 1919 in Plainview to Theodore and Ludomilla (Zarling) Zirbel. She attended Grubbs Country School, District #90. On June 14, 1938 she married Franklin Holzer in Winona. The couple farmed near Kellogg for three years and then farmed north of Plainview until 1975, when they moved to Plainview. June worked for Mallard Seed Co. until 1989. She enjoyed sewing, which she did for the nursing home for 20 years and playing cards. June was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Plainview where she was very active. She worked on the funeral lunch committee for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughter, J oan Kruger of Rochester; six grandchildren, Linda (Gary) Tesmer of Eyota, Tom Kruger of Sundance, WY, Tedd (Laurie) Kruger of Plainview, Jane (Robert) Ahmann of Rochester, Jack (Alicia) Kruger of Round Rock, TX and Joel (Amy) Kruger of Santa Clarita, CA; 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, 2 sisters and a son-in-law, Vernon Kruger. Funeral service is Saturday, March 23, 11:00 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church in Plainview with Pastor John Curtiss officiating. Burial is at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview.
