Katherine Ann Laumb, 99, of Plainview, died Tuesday, November 24,
2020 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview.
Katherine was born August 3, 1921 and raised in Rushford, MN, the
daughter of Lloyd and Alice (Swenside) Veir. She attended school in
Rushford. Katherine married Ray Laumb October 5, 1940 in Rushford.
The couple farmed in the Lewiston/ Rushford area until 1953 when they
moved to Plainview. Katherine worked at Bates Variety store and did
daycare for many years. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Katherine is survived by 2 daughters, Karen Laumb (Joe Gartner) of
Hayfield and Dawn Swanson of Rochester; 9 grandchildren, 6 great
grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter, Rebecca; 1
son, Ron; 1 brother, Stanley Veir and special friend, Harold Petit.
A graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview will be
conducted at a later date.
