Kathleen Jo Mussell

Kathleen Jo Mussell, 71, of Plainview died Monday, February 5, 2024, at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview.

Kathy was born March 4, 1952, in Racine, Wisconsin, to John and Arlene (Langford) Jorgenson. She graduated from Swea City High School, Swea City, Iowa, in 1971. Kathy married Milon Mussell on July 29, 1972, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview. Kathy was a “stay at home” mom. When the kids went off to school, she did manufacture work at Waters Instruments and retired from Lakeside Foods. She loved playing cribbage, poker, and spending time with family.

She is survived by 3 sons, Chad Mussell, Cory (Krista) Mussell of Zumbrota and Jamie (Mary) Mussell of Plainview; 1 sister Theresa Tague of Plainview; 2 brothers, Ron (Kim) Hutchison of Mallard, Iowa and Danny Hutchison of Rodman, Iowa.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milon, son Jesse, brother Curt Jorgenson and sister Bonnie Hutchison.

A visitation will be Friday, February 9th, 10-12 noon at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview. The graveside service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview with Pastor Phil Augustine officiating.
