Lester Judge, 86, of Plainview, MN was reunited with his heavenly family on
February 27, 2015. He died at Mayo Clinic Hospital- Rochester, St. Mary’s Campus.
Lester Charles Judge was born March 11, 1928 in Highland Township, Wabasha
County, Minnesota to James and Catherine (Sagissor) Judge. He attended School
District #38. On November 22, 1952 Lester married Mary Carol Lee at St. Joachim’s
Catholic Church in Plainview. He farmed all of his life.
Lester was a simple outdoorsmen, he was an avid hunter and fisherman from his
early days on. He enjoyed traveling West to visit his brother and sisters in
California. He loved to play cards, especially when he won and enjoyed the people
he played with in Theilman, Mazeppa and Goodhue in his later years. He was
always sure to tune into his favorite TV shows, the Price is Right and Wheel of
Fortune. Lester had a green thumb and grew a generous garden. He never let
anything go to waste. He shared his canning and cooking. It was always fun to listen
to Lester’s stories that he told over and over. Lester lived a good life and shared
lots of laughs with many.
He is survived by two sons, James (Mary Lou) of Kellogg and Edward of Plainview;
three grandchildren, Jennifer Judge (Tim Finne) of Plainview, Patrick (Connie)
Judge of Tyrone, PA., and Rachael (Josh) Meyers of St. Charles; two great-
grandchildren, Meghan and Caevan and step great-grandchild, Carter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons and one daughter, one brother,
Donald, and sisters, Mary, Margaret, Catherine and Rose Ann.
The family requests no flowers. Memorials preferred to St. Isidore Health Center of
Greenwood Prairie in Plainview.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 3rd, 5:00 p.m. at St. Joachim’s Catholic
Church in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Burial will be at the St.
Joachim’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at
the church.
