Lisa Ross

Lisa Christine Ross, 57, of Elba, MN passed away at her home with her loving husband by her side. She was born July 25, 1968, in Rochester, MN to Keith and Maxine (Schneider) Bruemmer of Elgin, MN. Lisa graduated in 1987 from Elgin-Millville High School with Honors. She continued her schooling at Alexandria Technical College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Dietary Management. She started working at Madonna Towers in 1989 as a relief cook and continued her career there for 34 years. In 2023, she started at the PEM schools and was quickly known as the "Lunch Lady."

On September 19, 1992, she married the love of her life, Thomas F. Ross, of Elba, MN. Together they built a small hobby farm where Lisa loved gardening, playing with her many animals, reading and cooking. Most of all, Lisa enjoyed volunteering, 4-wheeling, music concerts, spending time with her camping family and whatever adventures they had to offer, as long as Tom was by her side.

Lisa is survived by her husband Tom, mother Maxine Bruemmer, sisters Faith (Brian) Back, Amber (Dean) Ruthand, her nieces and nephews Tallon, Jacob, Matthew, Jason, Nicole, Laura, Joseph, Megan, Brittany, Bradley, and Austin. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws Shirley (Mike) Manthei, and Theresa Hehl. She was preceded in death by her father Keith Bruemmer, mother and father-in-law Harold and Jeanette Ross, and her brother in laws Bernard Ross, and Chris Hehl.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Church in Elgin, MN (305 1st Street NW) with Pastor Josh Moldenhauer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday October 23, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the church and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery in Elba, MN. Schad and Zabel Funeral Home of Plainview, MN is honored to be handling arrangements for the family.
