Lois Mae Behrens, 91, of Eyota, died Saturday, November16, 2019 at Lake Winona Manor in Winona. Lois Mae Burgdorf was born on January 20, 1928 in St. Charles, MN to Harry and Andrena (Stone) Burgdorf. Lois graduated from St. Charles High School in 1947 where she was a cheerleader for four years and received her nickname of “Gram.” On September 22, 1948 she married Logan Behrens. They farmed in Dover Township until moving into Eyota in 1968. She loved to cook and had a big garden which she canned the produce from. She enjoyed going to rummage sales and competing in bowling tournaments with her husband, and loved to watch soap operas, going shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Eyota Legion Auxiliary. Lois is survived by her children; Charles (Heidi) Behrens of St. Charles, David (Sharron) Behrens of Altura, JoAnn (Dennis) Grethen of Eyota, Dawn Rosario of Eyota, Cheryl (Michael) Furr of Eau Craire, WI and Jeff (Jayne) Behrens of St. Charles; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 1 brother Lester (Marion) Burgdorf of Plainview. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, 5 sisters and 1 great-grandson. A private service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota. The graveside service will be 2:30 pm, Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery north of Dover. The public is invited to the graveside service. Schadandzabelfuneralhomes.com
