Margaret F. Pille

Margaret Pille, 100, a lifetime Plainview resident, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at St. Isidore Health Center of Greenwood Prairie in Plainview. Margaret was born September 29, 1915 in Plainview. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1933. Margaret worked as a switch board operator for Pioneer Telephone Co. in Plainview. On July 19, 1938 she married Donald Pille in Decorah, Iowa. They made their home in Plainview. She then worked in bookkeeping at the Plainview Creamery until the early 1970’s. Margaret was a member of the St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview and the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Plainview VFW and the American Legion Auxiliary. Margaret is survived by her son, Dennis (Beverly) Pille of Apple Valley, MN, daughter-in-law, Bev Pille of Plainview, 10 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and 1 niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, son, Rick, sister, Elaine and brother-in-law, Duane. Funeral Mass is Friday, April 1, 10;30 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Burial is at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul. The visitation is Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Green Prairie Place in Plainview.
