Marian Bicknese

Marian Mabel (Ihrke) Bicknese, 93, of Eyota, MN passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Living Center in Plainview, MN.

Marian was born on November 12, 1932, in Dover, MN to Edwin and Mabel (Salter) Ihrke. She grew up in the Dover-Eyota area and graduated from Eyota High School. On October 29, 1952, she married Ervin Bicknese at the North Church in Eyota, MN. Together they had six children. Ervin passed away in 2012.

Marian and Ervin farmed together in Preston, Dover, and Eyota, MN. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ for Our Saviors Lutheran Church, where she also taught Sunday School. She will be deeply missed.

Marian is survived by her six daughters, Jolene (Andrew) Miklesh, Judy Brandt, Barbara (Steven) Dubanoski, Patti (Randy) Nowak, Peggy (Rick) Schmidt, and Betty (Jeff) Riess; sixteen grandchildren, Thomas (Angie), Rebecca, Adam (Deanna), Sarah (Jeff), Charles, Edward (Lindsey), Kendal (Jason), John, Keanna (Drew), Joseph, Amanda, Scott (Sandi), Evan (Trisha), Tonya (Darren), Katy (Brian), and Mary (Brice); twenty-five great-grandchildren; siblings, LuAn Daniels, Jim Ihrke, and Carol Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin Bicknese; grandson, David Miklesh; great-grandson, Oliver; sister, Janice Moehnke; and four brothers, Marlow, Glenn, Dean, and David.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 770 Robert Ave in Eyota, MN with Pastor Jon Vollrath officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at the church. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Eyota, MN. Memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Eyota.
