Marilyn A Smith

Marilyn A. Smith, 82, of Plainview, MN, passed away on March 17, 2026 at her home.

Born on May 27, 1943, Marilyn grew up in Plainview, graduating from Plainview High School in 1961. She had a long and fulfilling career at Lakeside Foods, where she was a beloved employee for many years.

Marilyn married John Smith on October 25, 1963, and together they built a beautiful life until John's passing on August 2, 2025. She was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Plainview American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Marilyn enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories with her family.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Lisa (John) Hildebrandt of Mayville, WI.; grandchildren Amanda, Stephanie, and Andrew Hildebrandt; siblings, Cheryl Standinger, Donna (Charles) Holst, and sister-in-law Sharon Kuhlman. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John; brother, LaVerne; and her grandchild, Michael.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located at 45 W. Broadway, Plainview, MN. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
