Hospital-St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester. Marlene was born March 13, 1944 in Preston, MN., to Clifford and Beatta Ruth (Olson) Bacon. She graduated from Preston High School. Marlene married Larry Munroe November 21, 1964 in Chatfield. Marlene worked at the Farm and Home Store in Rochester until 1966. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota. Marlene loved taking care of the farm yard, watching her grandsons sporting events, trips to the casinos, playing card games with family and friends and cooking. She always wanted to make sure everyone was well fed. Marlene is survived by her husband Larry of Eyota; 3 children, Michael (Susie) Munroe of Harmony, Brian (Melanie) Munroe of Eyota and Brad Munroe and Fiance, Megan Brandt of Eyota; grandchildren, Brandon, Brady and Mackenzie Munroe, Taylor (Brittney) Jarland and Jordon Jarland; great-grandchildren, Freia and Mya Jarland; 2 brothers, LaVerne (Lois) Bacon of Peoria, AZ, and Jerome (Donna) Bacon of Ft. Myers, FL; and Marlene’s puppies, Lexey, Champ and Mazie. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Roger and Donald Bacon and 2 sisters, Betty Jacobson and Donna Arnold. Memorial Service will be Friday, July 24, 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist in Eyota with Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Eyota. Visitation is Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church and 1 hour prior to the service at the church Friday.
