Nancy Lee Vehrenkamp, 81, of Eyota, died Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield. Nancy was born June 13, 1939 in Rochester MN to Russell M. and Harriet (Saholt) Pries. She graduated from Eyota High School in 1957. On August 5, 1957 Nancy married David Vehrenkamp in Eyota.  They resided on the Vehrenkamp family farm near Chester then in 1960 they moved to the Pries family farm north of Eyota.  She was the 5th generation to live there. Nancy worked at the Mayo Clinic in the Medical Revenue Systems until she retired in 2003. Nancy was a member of the Faith EUB and United Methodist church of Eyota. She served on various boards, choir member, bible study group and charter member of the Faith Ringers bell choir. When she was younger she was in the high school chorus, band, home ec club, school paper and yearbook, senior class play and voted Homecoming Queen her senior year. Her pride and joy was her family of 5 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband which included traveling to Alaska and Hawaii. Nancy is survived by her husband, David, of Eyota.  Her children Wayne (Irene) Vehrenkamp of Eyota, Richard (Tracy) Vehrenkamp of Dover, Todd (Kimberly) Vehrenkamp of Byron, Scott (Juanita) Vehrenkamp of Eau Claire WI and Michelle (Donald) Danielson of St Charles; 15 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; many great grandchildren and sister Carol (Richard) Speltz of Altura. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Graveside service will be Friday, November 6, 11:30 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Eyota, with Pastor Laurie Boche officiating.
