Randy Michael Sexton

Nov 8, 1984 — Jun 10, 2026

Randy Michael Sexton, 41, of Eyota died unexpectedly at his home on June 10th, 2026. He was born on November 8, 1984 in Wabasha to Mike and Debbie (Schmit) Sexton.

He was a 2003 graduate of Elgin-Millville School and a 2004 of Rasmussen Business College in Mankato. Randy and Bonnie Morgan met when Bonnie was in college at Winona State University. They were married on May 2, 2009 at St. Joachims Catholic Church in Plainview

Together they had 4 beautiful children. Randy's children were his greatest pride and joy! His heart was the fullest watching his children grow. He loved laughter and the chaos of raising 4 children and cherished nothing more than all the time they spent together. Bonnie was the love of his life and he adored her. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. You could often find him playing any type of game. This included a nightly family game of either cards, board games, or yard games. These games brought out his competitiveness, sense of humor, smart remarks, and big smile. Randy was the master of organizing tournaments. He took deep satisfaction in every year putting on the Sexton family horseshoe/bean bag tournament. Randy was the cornerstone of Dover-Eyota youth sports for baseball, softball and basketball. He endlessly donated his time and talent to the kids and community. His love of sports was something he shared with the whole family, either watching on TV or attending major league games. Randy had a love for animals, especially labrador retriever dogs and built a very successful business out of it, Sharp Shooter Labs.

He loved the woods and the nature that came with it. His other hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching the MN Twins, and throwing horseshoes (turning into bean bags) with family. Randy and his family enjoyed yearly road trips and traveled to 43 states together. Randy was the epitome of a great Dad. He always made sure the kids got to where they needed to be and when they needed to be there. He also made sure everyone was tucked tightly into bed before he would settle in for the night. Randy will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Randy is survived by his beautiful wife Bonnie of 17 years and 4 wonderful children Ian, Layli, Easton and Hallie. His parents Mike and Debbie, siblings Larry(Krissy) Sexton of Millville, Amy(Nick) Hanke of Albert Lea, Julie(Mike) Haack of Plainview, Sandy(Nasser) Elsadik of Mankato, Kimberly(Brandon) Schlueter of Eyota, his maternal grandmother Cecile Schmit, mother and father in law Pat and Pauline Morgan of Pine Island and brother in law Scott(Katie) Morgan of Pine Island, 24 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
