Richard Michael Zickrick

Richard M. Zickrick, 87 of Conception, died Wednesday evening at Gunderson Health System in LaCrosse, WI. Richard was born October 17, 1938 in rural Kellogg, MN to Kermit and Esther (Utigard) Zickrick. He grew up in the Conception area helping his parents on the farm. Richard was united in marriage to Susan Jorgenson in September of 1965, and the couple continued living on the family farm. Richard worked at the Mayo Foundation House for over thirty years. Richard enjoyed cutting wood, playing card games like 500, Cribbage, and Euchre, he also enjoyed watching sports, and reading. Family and a hard work ethic were very important to him.
Richard is survived by his wife Susan, three sons, Chris (Tim Frank) Zickrick, Mike (Sandi) Zickrick, and Steven (Melanie) Zickrick, he is also survived by seven grandchildren Jack, Tess, Autumn, Calvin, Max, Candy, and Angie. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother William, and sister Shirley Christenson.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM on Thursday June 11, 2026 at Schad and Zabel Funeral Home (57 3rd Street SW, Plainview, MN), visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery rural Kellogg. Schad and Zabel Funeral Home of Plainview is handling arrangements.
