Robert “Bob” Randall, 75 of Eyota, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Arbor Gardens following an 8 month battle with lung cancer. Bob was born August 4, 1942 in Rochester to Elmer and Eileen (Ireland) Randall. He graduated from Dover-Eyota High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force being stationed in Germany. Following his discharge in 1964 he returned to the family farm N.W. of Eyota. On October 28, 1967 he married Geraldine (Gerri) Franzen at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Eyota. Together they farmed until moving to Arbor Gardens in February. Bob also did custom work for area farmers. He enjoyed snowmobiling, reading, car shows and spending time with his family and the doodles. Bob is survived by his wife Gerri of Eyota; children, Stacy (Rob) Timlin of Morrison, Colorado and Dan (Michelle Yardley) Randall of McCall, Idaho; grandchildren, Lex and Zach and 2 grand-doodles, Garmisch and Wembley; 2 brothers, Jon (Ginny) Randall of Eagan and Dean (Karen) Randall of Columbia, Maryland; 3 sisters, Susan (Dave) Broker of Brookfield, WI, Julie (Sam) Ellis and Beth Moran, both of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Eileen. A memorial service will be Wednesday, April 11, 2:00 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota with Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Eyota will be at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Seasons Hospice.
