Rochelle Agness Prigge, 75, of Plainview, died of cancer, Monday, September 19, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus-Rochester. Rochelle was born May 28, 1941 in Byron to George and Virginia (Franck) Bartel. On May 5, 1961 she married Delmar Prigge and they later divorced. Over the years she was employed as a RN at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Plainview, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Wabasha and St. Mary’s Hospital and Methodist Hospital in Rochester. Rochelle was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview. The most important thing to Rochelle was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always put others needs before herself. She enjoyed reading, western movies, playing 500 and her dogs. Rochelle is survived by her children, Mike (Anna) Prigge of Rochester, Jeff (Kim) Prigge of Plainview, Dan (Sherry) Prigge of Rochester, Sandy (Gary) Young of Plainview; grandchildren, Brooke, Jeff Jr., Lisa, Joshua, Jessica, Heather, Hailee, Matthew, Jacob, Katie and Kelly; step-grandchildren, Nick, Andy and Amy; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Jameson, Peighton, Lazarus, Sawyer, Deja, Ryland and Adonte; one sister, Dianna Scofield of Elysian, MN; one brother, Denny Bartel of Lewisville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ron, Robert and Steve Bartel and an infant sister, Karen Bartel. Rochelle donated her body to Mayo Clinic for research. Their will be no funeral service. Visitation is Friday, September 23, 4-8 pm at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Paws and Claws.
