Ronald William Kinnetz

Ronald William Kinnetz, 77, of Eyota, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester, St. Mary’s Campus after a short illness. Ronald was born March 30, 1937 in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Leo and Viola (Schutt) Kinnetz. He married Delores Galbraith in Emmetsburg on October 28, 1956 and moved to Eyota in 1960. Ron Worked for Marigold Foods for 38 years and retired in 2002. He also worked for many years as a self employed craftsman remodeling homes throughout the area. Ron enjoyed woodworking, lawn work and spending time with his family. He took great pride in his lawn and his neighbors were envious of his carpet of green. He is survived by his wife, Delores of Eyota; children, Deborah Knox of Pleasant Hill, CA, Michael (Jeanie) Kinnetz and Scott (Becky) Kinnetz both of Stewartville and daughter-in-law, Pam Kinnetz of Dover; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters and 1 brother. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Rick, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral service is Wednesday, January 14, 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota with Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Burial is at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Visitation is Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota and 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
