RoseMary Miller, 80, of Plainview, died Monday, July 17, at her home following a brief battle with cancer. RoseMary was born April 3, 1937 in Wabasha to Stacy and Carnetta (Hall) Melendy. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1954. She then worked at the Pharmacy at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester until her marriage. On April 26, 1958 she married Harold A. Miller at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview and they farmed NE of Plainview near Conception. Harold died October 5, 1989. In January of 1990, RoseMary moved to Plainview. She was a member of the St. Joachim’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters. She was also a member of the Plainview American Legion Auxiliary and the Plainview Area Community Center. RoseMary enjoyed embroidery, sewing, playing cards, gardening, traveling, baking and cake decorating. She is survived by her children, Debra (Kenneth) Blattner of Elgin, Stacy (Julie) Miller of Plainview, Laurie (Tedd) Kruger of Plainview, Thomas (Kay) Miller of Kellogg, Daniel (Karen) Miller of Plainview, Lisa (Miller) Deming of Plainview and Michelle (Dean) Zimmel of Lakeville, MN; 26 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Genevieve Mae Meyer of Rochester; brother and sister-in-laws, Eugene and Darlene Miller of Theilman, Kay Miller of Kellogg and Bob and Carol Sylvester of Wabasha. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grand daughter, Holli, daughter-in-law, Gwen and sister, Marcella. Funeral mass is Friday, July 21, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Burial is at the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Conception. Visitation is Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
