Sandra Marie Wohlers

Sandra Marie Thompson, known as Sandy, was born on August 23, 1964, in Owatonna, Minnesota. She moved to Plainview, Minnesota, in 5th grade, graduating from Plainview Community School in 1982. In 1987, she married her high school sweetheart, Todd Wohlers, and together they raised three sons: Dustin Mussell, Brian Wohlers, and Joshua Wohlers. The family lived in Texas from 1987 to 1999 before returning to Plainview.

Sandy pursued various careers, including roles as a paraprofessional, veterinary technician, and receptionist at Stucky’s. She is survived by her husband, Todd Wohlers; sons Dustin Mussell (Wendy Schneider) of Plainview and Joshua (Moriah) Wohlers of Eyota; grandchildren Jax, Mia and Jase Mussell, and Macie Wohlers; her parents, Jon and Ann Brehmer and Ronald Thompson; siblings Michael Thompson, Brent Brehmer, Bob Thompson, Andrea Thompson, Rhonda Thompson, and James Thompson; and in-laws Vonnie Wohlers, Brent (Sue) Wohlers, Craig (Michelle) Wohlers, and Rhonda (Reg) Fowler. Friends of 51 years Penny Schmit and Michelle Wohlers.

Sandra was preceded in death by son Brian Wohlers, stepmother Janet Thompson, father-in-law Bill Wohlers and sister-in-law Noel Bridley.

Sandy passed away on February 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends.

The funeral service is Saturday, February 15, 11:00 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview with Pastor Phil Augustine officiating. Visitation is Friday, 5-8 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. A luncheon will follow the service.

Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished spending time with her family, enjoying side-by-side rides, and caring for her pets. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
