Stanley M. Klavetter, 91 of Plainview, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at St. Isidore Health
Stanley Mathew Klavetter was born April 29, 1921 in Plainview Township to Robert and
Marie (Funk) Klavetter. He attended Honey Hill Country School. On June 6, 1949 he
married Eleanor Ann Loechler at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha.
Stanley was a longtime dairy farmer in Plainview Township. In 2007 he moved to Plainview
and lived at Irene Phillips 5th St. Elder Care until moving to St. Isidore in June of 2012.
He enjoyed the outdoors and taking rides in the country and spending time with friends and
family.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Plainview. 7 Children, Jerry Klavetter (Shirley Evans)
of Nelson, WI, Sharon (Al) Swayze of Rochester, Jim (Deb) Klavetter of Eyota, Ron (Jean)
Klavetter of Plainview, Keith (Ginger) Klavetter of Plainview, Brenda (Glenn) Thompson of
Kellogg and Steve Klavetter (Mindy Drenckhahn) of Plainview.
18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Eva Mae Caves of Wabasha,
also survive.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
The funeral mass will be Saturday, February 2 at 11 am at St. Joachims Catholic Church in
Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Burial will be at the St. Felix Catholic
Cemetery in Wabasha. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Friday, February 1 at the Schad &
Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
