Christopher (Chris) R. Nelson, 34, of Eyota, died Sunday October 2, of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Plainview. Chris was born July 27, 1982 in Rochester to Willie and Mary (Annie) Aeschliman Nelson. He attended Dover-Eyota High School. On September 12, 2009 Chris married Jessica Martin at the Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota and they lived in Eyota. Chris worked for Steve’s Sprinkler and Fieseler Farms, both of Eyota. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his snowmobile and motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends. Chris is survived by his wife Jessica of Eyota; daughters, Ciara Albrecht and Taylyn Nelson of Eyota; his father, Willie Nelson Jr. of Eyota; brother, Willie Nelson III of Rochester and his mother in law, Debra Nelson of Eyota. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie and his grandparents. Funeral service is Friday, October 7, 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota with Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Burial is at East St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery in Rock Dell. Visitation is Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
