Violet Boettcher, 90 of Rochester and formerly of Plainview and St. Charles died
Wednesday, April 9th at the Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home on Eighth in Rochester.
Violet Florence Deming Boettcher was born on July 18, 1923, the daughter of Edward and
Florence (Olson) Deming. She graduated from Plainview High School. On June 11, 1946
Violet was married to Bernie Boettcher. She worked as a nursing assistant and as a home
health care provider. Violet enjoyed cooking and baking. She was also enjoyed watching
professional wrestling. She was a former member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St.
Charles.
Violet is survived by her children; June Boettcher of Rochester, Keith (Mary) Boettcher of
Rochester, Gene (Nancy) Boettcher of Eyota, Randy (Bonnie) Boettcher of Plainview,
Bonnie (Kevin) Tracy of Mesa, AZ and Vicki Boettcher of Rochester; Grandchildren, Mike
(Jackie) Boettcher, Chad (Amy) Boettcher, Kim Boettcher, Tracy (David) Allen, Todd
(Jennifer) Boettcher, Dustin (Heidi) Boettcher, Kelli Boettcher and Carrie Tracy; 12
Great-grandchildren; Sisters, Jeanette Kruger, Shirley Olson; Brother, Laverne (Bev)
Deming.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Boettcher; brother, Willard Deming;
sister, Jean Schultz.
A Memorial Service for Violet will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 13th at the Samaritan
Bethany Nursing Home on Eighth Chapel, 24 8th Street NW, Rochester, MN with Pastor Jean
Boese officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the
Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home Chapel.
