Vivian Herrick

Vivian Herrick, 93, of Eyota, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield. Vivian was born December 16, 1921 in Pine Island to Gilbert and Marie (House) Burd. She graduated from Eyota High School in 1940. On August 22, 1941 she married Gordon Herrick in Rochester. The couple resided in Eyota. Gordon died December 9, 2000. Vivian had been active in 4H and was a former cub scout leader. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota where she taught bible school and as a member of the ladies aide she helped with many church functions. She and Gordon enjoyed dancing. She is survived by her children; Lonny (Jane) Herrick of Chatfield and Lonette Streiff of Faribault, grandchildren; Laine Streiff of Eyota and Lorne (Carolyn) Streiff of Hastings, great grandchildren; Andrew and Molly Streiff, great-great granddaughter; Raiden, brother; Gerald Burd of Colorado, sisters; Marion Campbell of Mesa, AZ, Beth Myers of Grand Junction, CO, Janice Truax of California and Cindy (Jon) Griebel of Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 1 sister. Funeral service is Saturday, February 7, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota with Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Burial is at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Visitation is Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
