Wayne Melvin Ebner was born February 27, 1940 in Elba, MN to Melvin and Margaret
(Kieffer) Ebner. He grew up in the Rollingstone area and graduated in 1958 from Holy
Trinity Catholic School in Rollingstone. Following high school he enlisted in the army,
upon discharge he farmed with his father near Millville.
He bought his own farm near Weaver, MN in 1973 where he farmed the rest of his life.
In 1966 Wayne Married Patricia Wood. They later divorced.
Survivors include his children, Lisa (Ted) Candler of Eyota, Scot Ebner of Altura and
Lyle Ebner of Lake City. Five Grandchildren and three sisters, Carol Jaworski of
Rochester, Sharon (Gene) Nelsen of Rantoul, IL and Patricia (Edwin) Lemmer of
Rochester also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be Thursday, February 7, 11 am at the Schad & Zabel
Funeral Home in Plainview with Decon John Destazio officiating. Burial is at the St.
Joachim’s Catholic Cemetery in Plainview. Visitation is Wednesday, 5-7 pm at the
Schad & Zabel Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on
Thursday.
