On October 5, 1952 she married Vernon Ihrke. They farmed in the Dover and Elgin area.
Vernon died July 19, 1967. Yvonne then married Archie Zarling on August 23, 1968. The
and Christenson Accounting in Rochester. Archie died November 12, 2007 and then
Yvonne moved into Plainview.
She was a member of the Elgin American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed knitting,
reading and playing cards.
Survivors include her children; Bruce (Susan) Ihrke and Mark (Susan) Ihrke, both of
Plainview, and Joanne Ihrke of Mesa, Arizona, 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren
and 1 sister; Pauline Stead.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and 1 sister, Marie Kehren.
Funeral Service is Saturday, February 22, 2014, 11 a.m. at the Community Presbyterian
Church in Plainview with Rev. John Curtiss officiating. Burial is at the Greenwood Cemetery
in Plainview. Visitation is 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
